Story

Project Sashakt is our endeavor to empower and provide livelihood opportunities to women in urban India. Project Sashakt focuses on empowering women, who are believed to be the worst affected when there is unemployment and poverty involved. However, women will be called empowered when they are given equal opportunity in all disciplines of society regardless of their stereotypes. In our training Centre, we try to make them self-sufficient and confident. Making beauty products and stitching various products are among those jobs that remain till the end of mankind. Further, basic skills and professional training enables them to work from home, they can continue in their traditional role as homemaker and yet earn. The training programs also include communication skills, personality development, computing budgets, learning savings &amp, marketing of their products. Therefore, project sashakt provides skill development courses, where women get vocational training and skill development courses. In this project, we train them from basic to intermediate levels of sewing. Our trainers train them in designing, they also work on Crosia, budget management of garments, embroidery, and basic dying. We are hopeful that these pieces of training will further empower them to be financially independent and to make decisions for themselves. We are running a Tailoring Products Making Unit in Tugalkabad Extension (Delhi),

as a part of Project Sashakt.
