Rehabilitation Center

Story

In the rehabilitation center, we run multiple projects. One of the current projects is the primary school that started in 2013. In this project, we run full-fledged primary, and kindergarten schooling. We have well-qualified educators, who have been associated with us ever since the project got started. In project Inder, we implement the conventional teaching method; in the past, we also introduced the Montessori Method of teaching. However, the Montessori method of teaching was challenging, and the reason being the method required Montessori material which was unfortunately beyond our budget.

In the Rehabilitation center, we run the school for both abled and differently abled children. In the special education classroom set-up, we try to implement the Montessori method of teaching. This method helps differently abled children to understand the basic concept of math, science, and language. It makes the understanding intuitive for the children. Meanwhile, we organize events on regular basis for our children, we make sure that no child is left behind, especially when it comes to basic education.

Once the children compete for primary, and kindergarten education; we shortlist Government, and private schools to transfer them to the conventional school. Since all our students come from the adjoining slum areas, their parents usually have very little knowledge about how to go through the admission process. And in times like this, our teachers come forward and guide them with the admission process. In the past, we had some bright students who got through some renowned schools and continued their education until higher secondary. In our school, we have also organized multiple co-curriculum activities. In the past, we organized an art and craft competition, which was followed by a drawing competition. We had children coming from the adjoining slum areas to participate. Likewise, we had Christmas parties in which we had children competing in dancing and singing competition.
